Help Our Company President Raise Money for Children’s Healthcare

At Incentive Solutions, we are always looking for ways to give back to the community and help make Atlanta a greater city. This year, we’ve participated in Agape Atlanta’s Great Backpack Giveaway, as well as Agape’s Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway. We also joined The Bert Show’s Big Thank You in writing Thanksgiving letters to our troops overseas. On December 5th, we will be partnering with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) to raise money for local children’s health service, and we invite you tojoin us.
Each holiday season, our company President and COO, Mark Herbert dons his rainbow wig, red nose, and big shoes along with the rest of Atlanta’s Distinguished Clown Corps. Consisting namely of local business owners and leaders, the Clown Corps donate their time and funds from their own companies to help raise money for CHOA.

“This is my fifth year as a Distinguished Clown,” Herbert says. “It’s a really fun opportunity, to dress up, join the parade and make kids smile.”

After the Distinguished Clowns greet children at CHOA with laughter, they join CHOA’s televised Children’s Parade to give out treats along the route.

Since its establishment in 1991, the Distinguished Clown Corps has raised over one million dollars for local children’s healthcare. This year, all money raised will go toward CHOA’s 2015-2016 Friends fundraising goals. These goals include three new critical care fellows at Egleston hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as well as new staff members at the Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children.

The main goal of the Clown Corps is to raise money that helps elevate the quality of healthcare Atlanta’s children receive. Also important is the enthusiasm, positivity and holiday cheer that Distinguished Clowns offer CHOA patients when they meet and interact with the children in person. Joy and laughter can be healing, which is exactly why Mark Herbert plans to participate in the Distinguished Clown Corps for the rest of the foreseeable future.

Those who are unable to join the Distinguished Clown Corps can pitch in by donating here to help Herbert and the other Distinguished Clowns reach their fundraising goals.

Three Ways Convenience Impacts Customer Loyalty

In this highly-connected age of information and interactions, when customers “cheat” on brands more than ever, customer loyalty is hard to achieve. Customers can effortlessly find out just how many options they have for any product or service, and easily compare the benefits or downsides of those options.  Nearly every brand, service, or store under the sun has an online review page where potential customers can read about others’ experiences and determine whether a particular brand deserves their business. In this article, we’ll explore why customers choose one brand over another, and how you can make your own brand stand out.
Convenience-Impacts-Customer-Loyalty
The main reason (other than price) that customers may choose your competition over you is that they have better experiences with those brands. When the competition is stiff, companies often try to distinguish themselves with excellent customer service and discounts. While these tactics don’t necessarily hurt your chances of winning over customers, they’re not the best ways of attracting long-lasting loyalty. The solution is something much simpler: make it easier for customers.
Convenience Improves Customers’ Experience with Your Brand
Harvard Business Review article examined ideas about customer loyalty. Their survey research indicated that “delighting” customers with outstanding customer service didn’t build customer loyalty, but reducing their efforts did. In other words, addressing customers’ issues quickly and making their experiences easier is the best way to assure they remain loyal to your brand. Harvard Business Review recommended these strategies for making things easier for customers:
  1. removing obstacles
  2. anticipating future issues
  3. addressing the emotional side of customer interactions
Technology plays a large role in addressing these three concerns, making customer interaction quicker and easier. Today’s customers—especially channel partners like distributors and contractors—are incredibly busy. If your company can’t adapt to the speedy response time and readily-available information they need, they will find a company who can. By using online customer loyalty programs, technology provided by companies like Incentive Solutions, you can save your customers’ time and nail each of the convenience strategies listed above.
Ways Technology Can Make Your Brand Experience More Convenient
  1. Removing Obstacles Like Time and Distance Workplace mobile apps remove obstacles like distance and time constraints. Distributors and contractors are particularly busy people—contractors are often out working on job sites and picking up supplies, while distributors spend a lot of time checking up on orders, inspecting products, and making decisions about which brands to stock. Reward program technology makes their daily tasks easier by delivering instant push notifications about products, which keeps them up to date and ahead of their competitors knowledge-wise. With mobile technology, program participants can also immediately send sales claims and warranty registrations, right from the field.
  2. Communicating with Customers to Keep Up with Their Interests and Issues The more methods customers have of contacting you, the more likely they will feel that your brand offers a convenient experience. The typical sales channel partner is very busy and often juggling many responsibilities. A contractor who has to supervise at a job site, meet with customers, pick up supplies, and take his kids to baseball practice may not have time to call you about an issue during normal, 8-5 business hours. Use a multi-channel communication strategy to stay in contact with customers. Don’t neglect marketing to them; touch base at least once a month to update them on your products, promotions, and exciting new things you’re doing. Fast, reliable communication with customers is a great way to gauge their needs, interests, and anticipate future issues.
  3. Addressing the Emotional Side with Online Rewards Receiving points and rewards online can make tedious or time-consuming tasks more fun for your customers, and fun equals convenience. When they’re part of an online rewards program, your customers receive rewards for interaction with your brand. For instance, they can receive points for inputting sales claims or promoting your products—things they might otherwise consider inconvenient wastes of time. They can then redeem these points in an online reward catalog set-up similarly to Amazon or Overstock. Customers associate your brand with fun new items and experiences, which makes it not only a convenient experience for them, but a rewarding one. In this way, you can get in touch with the emotional side of customer interaction.
When all is said and done, customers value great customer service and competitive prices—but what really wins them over is convenience. People today are continuously juggling time-consuming tasks. The more you can reduce their efforts, the more likely they are to remain loyal to your brand.

IS YOUR INCENTIVE SUPPLIER GOING BANKRUPT WITH YOUR MONEY?

Incentive travel is becoming buoyant again, and it’s going in the direction of cruise lines. Many people are taking advantage of the all-inclusive feel of cruise ships. With food being included and now unlimited drink packages being made more widely available, who wouldn’t want to set sail into the sunset for their next incentive group travel get-away or corporate event? Let’s travel back in time to 1912, when the Titanic set sail from England all ahead full to New York City.
We all know this unsinkable ship did just the opposite, after running into an iceberg. It was a tragedy, as many people lost their lives. Many researchers over the years have picked about the ship, gathering a plethora of information on the vessel. So much so, that Hollywood was able to create a film around the disaster. This may have been where Clive Palmer got the idea to fund a replication of the Titanic.
Cruise-Incentive-Travel(v2)
Australian billionaire Clive Palmer announced that he would be funding the recreation of the Titanic, appropriately naming it Titanic 2. This ship will be as close to the original ship as possible, with all of the latest technology to avoid those pesky icebergs.
The Titanic 2 is just a few inches longer than the original and has a capacity of 2,435 guests and 900 crew. The ship will include a gymnasium, Turkish baths, squash court, swimming pool, theatre and a casino, all based on the original designs. It is set to sail in 2017 across the Atlantic between Southampton, England and New York City. Passengers will have the option to pick a class to live in on their voyage, or they will offer a package that will allow them to stay in each class for 2 nights. The idea is to have every detail designed after the original down to the china patterns. There are no plans to have televisions or Internet services aboard the Titanic 2, making it easier to step into the past and truly live for a few days as a passenger of the Unsinkable Ship. Conditions in the mid-class sections will be deliberately cramped and passengers will even be checked for lice, just like on the original Titanic voyage.
Will the Titanic reenactment voyage sink to the bottom of people’s memories, or will reenactment trips become the hottest new trend in incentive travel?

Beach Getaway Beauty Bag Must Haves

Sun kissed skin, salty hair and a twinkle in your eye are all dead give aways you’ve been on a tropical adventure. While the destination helps achieve these mermaid vibes, the right beauty products can enhance and simplify your days in paradise. Check out the 5 products below that are must haves for any beach travel beauty bag. The following items will keep you healthy and beautiful while allowing for more fun in the sun and less maintenance!
International Meeting Planner - Getaway Bag
1. Sea Salt Hair Mist– While in the crystal clear Caribbean will leave your hair full of salty waves, a sea salt hair mist will not only enhance these curls after a day in the surf, but can also create these feels once home. Spritz in your towel dried ocean strands to boost your natural curls, or spray in and style with a curling want to create those perfect ocean fresh waves when you return from your travels.
2. Waterproof Mascara– Water proof mascara is a must have product when heading on your beach get away. Not only will your lashes look full and pretty while spending your days in the sand, but it will also save you time when getting ready. With waterproof mascara, you don’t need to worry about makeup running down your face after hours of body surfing or snorkeling. Just apply a coat and dive into those turquoise waters!
3. Tinted Lip Balm with SPF– Dry, cracked lips are the last thing you want to worry about when lounging in paradise. A tinted lip balm will give your lips the moisture they need and touch of color you want to brighten any sun kissed face. A balm with SPF is a must to keep your lips plump and healthy rather than rough and burnt from a day spent in the sun.
4. Leave in Conditioner– Leave in conditioner is a must for any beach getaway for several reasons. After a day on the beach, sailing or exploring the seas, leave in conditioner will lightly moisturize even the toughest tangled strands, making it easier to run a brush through and saving time when trying to wrangle your wind swept hair when going straight from day to night activities.
5. Self-Tanning Lotion– While a day of sun bathing is relaxing and inviting, hours spent under those tropical rays can be detrimental to your skin in the long term. Using SPF is a must for any outdoor venture, especially days spent perfecting your inner beach bum self. Instead of burning your skin day one and creating an uncomfortable situation for yourself for the remainder of your trip, try a self-tanning lotion to give your body that naturally bronzed tone you seek with hours of sun bathing. While self-tanners do not contain any sun protection, rest assured that under your SPF 30 your skin will be looking radiant and glowing, in a healthy way that self-tanning creates.

International Incentive Programs

Overcome barriers to unify an unstoppable international team. Align your global business plans and sales strategies.
The best way to succeed in rapidly globalizing marketplaces is to have a centralized corporate strategy.
In order to increase global competition, instill company culture across regional borders and meet global worker expectations, you need management strategies that improve employee engagement and disseminate knowledge. International incentive programs help multi-national companies manage and unite their global workforce, customer base and business partners behind corporate visions and goals. Program structures can be set with macro strategies, yet program criteria can be tweaked as appropriate by region, division and country. These centralized programs also serve to create vital feedback to increase collaboration and corporate consistency, no matter the office location.
